Louis Armstrong House Museum

Queens, NY

After a decade of active use, the Museum retained Li · Saltzman Architects as Historic Preservation Consultants to document the building’s history and to address its longevity. Utilizing archival photographs and historic records, in conjunction with studies and a master plan authored by other professionals, LSA prepared a Historic Structure Report (HSR) establishing the building’s history over time. The HSR will serve as a key component in the Museum’s efforts to successfully fulfill its mission of preserving and promoting the rich cultural legacy of Louis Armstrong.
