Museum at Eldridge Street

The Eldridge Street Synagogue is a Moorish, Gothic, and Romanesque style building, designed by Herter Brothers Architects and built in 1886-87. The Synagogue was repurposed as the Museum at Eldridge Street and is designated as an individual New York City Landmark, is listed on the New York State and National Registers of Historic Places and is a National Historic Landmark.

Li · Saltzman Architects was retained in 2018 by the Museum to provide preservation architecture and consulting services. LSA is working with the Museum on a wide spectrum of projects pertaining to stained-glass windows and doors, lighting, and metalwork. LSA is responsible for filings with the Landmarks Preservation Commission and will assist in the filing with the New York State Historic Preservation Office.
